Our Services
Sacred Heart Care Center offers a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of its residents.

Skilled Nursing Facility
Sacred Heart Hospice first opened its doors in June 1964 as a home for the aged. The name “Hospice” was carefully chosen to reflect its meaning—a place where weary travelers may rest.
The facility was made possible by a generous gift from Fred Dugan, a former Hormel treasurer, who recognized the need for a retirement home in Austin that would provide beauty, purpose, and dignity, alongside quality health care services. Today, our skilled nursing facility, now serving 59 residents, proudly continues this tradition.
Assisted Living
Sacred Heart Assisted Living Apartments provide a range of services focused on enhancing each resident's health and well-being.
Our programs cater to various ages and abilities, promoting physical and emotional strength while fostering meaningful relationships.
With 26 units and round-the-clock care, we ensure support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Adult Day Program
Sacred Heart Care Center offers a variety of Adult Day Programs, including specialized care for seniors with dementia-related conditions like Alzheimer's Disease. Each weekday morning, our dedicated staff picks up clients from their homes and brings them to participate in Sacred Heart's Adult Day Programs.
